Overview

Founded in 1904 as the Colorado Conference Deaconess Hospital, UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central is now a 485‑bed acute care facility in downtown Colorado Springs. It operates as the only Level I trauma center serving southern Colorado and includes an on‑campus helipad for critical patient transport. It is part of the UCHealth network since a city-approved lease in 2012. The hospital combines a long heritage of community care with advanced capabilities in trauma, surgery, and emergency medicine.
